What we do
Specialist repointing, rendering
and exterior damp work
We only do external wall work, which is why we do it properly, from brickwork repointing and repair to K Rend render systems and exterior damp work. Every job starts with an honest look at what's actually failing, because the wrong mortar or the wrong render system causes more damage than it fixes.

Eighteen years of getting
external walls right
Repointing and rendering are easy to do badly and expensive to put right. Hard cement mortar on a soft period brick wall traps moisture and blows the brick faces, which is why period walls need hydraulic lime repointing. Render applied over a damp or unsound background cracks within a season, so most walls need render repair and crack remediation before anything else. Getting a specialist in the first time is the cheapest route there is.
You deal with the Director, not a call centre
Connor Cook quotes the work, runs the work and signs it off. The person who explains the job to you is the person on site doing it.
Access is our problem, not yours
Scaffolding and access are arranged by us as part of the job, so there's no second contractor for you to chase or coordinate.
Payments stay proportionate
Rather than a large deposit and a balance, payments are set out as a schedule across the project, matched to the work completed.
Honest advice, even when it costs us the job
If a wall needs repair rather than a full re-render, we'll tell you. We won't sell a system a property doesn't need.

Period & conservation-area homes
Old walls need lime,
not a modern shortcut
Victorian and Edwardian houses across Bexley, Bromley and south-east London were built to breathe. Sealing them up with hard cement pointing forces moisture out through the brick face instead of the joint, and the brickwork spalls. We use hydraulic lime mortars matched to the wall, with joint profiles that suit the age of the property rather than whatever's quickest.
That comes from 18 years of hands-on work on period and conservation-area properties, practical experience rather than a conservation certificate.
Please note
We do not take on listed buildings. Period and conservation-area properties that aren't listed are very welcome, if you're unsure which yours is, call and we'll tell you straight.

K Rend trained and
certificated installer
Connor Cook holds a K Rend certificate for the application of K Rend silicone coloured renders and the use of K Bead, completed at K Rend's Centre of Excellence and issued on 7 May 2019 under certificate number K02148.
That matters on a rendered elevation because a silicone system only performs if the beads, bell casts and coat thicknesses are right. Trained application is what keeps the through-colour finish and the manufacturer's expectations intact, rather than a wall that needs painting again in a few years.

Common questions
Answers before you pick up the phone
Do you charge for a quote?
No. Quotes are always free. We look at the property, explain what the brickwork or render actually needs, and price the job individually, there are no standard prices because no two walls are the same.
Are you insured?
Yes. We carry £2 million public liability insurance. Anyone working alongside Connor is self-employed and holds their own cover.
What guarantee do you give?
A 10-year workmanship guarantee on all completed work.
Do you work on listed buildings?
No, we don't take on listed buildings. We do regularly work on period and conservation-area properties that aren't listed, including hydraulic lime repointing.
Who arranges the scaffolding or access?
We do. Access is arranged by us as part of the job, so you're not left sourcing scaffolding yourself.
How do payments work?
Payments are set out as a schedule broken down across the project, so what you pay stays proportionate to the work completed rather than a large deposit up front.
Is there a minimum charge?
Yes. Small jobs carry a minimum charge, because the cost of setting up access and getting the team to site applies whatever the size of the work. Every job is priced individually, so we will tell you the figure when we quote.
Which areas do you cover?
London and Kent, including Bexley, Bexleyheath, Sidcup, Dartford, Erith, Bromley and Orpington.
